for sustainable maritime tourism
We are part of Visit Finland's Sustainable Travel Finland program and have thus begun working towards more sustainable tourism. "In order for the tourism industry to be able to meet changing demand and secure its future, development must be sustainable." M/Y Fortune strives to act in accordance with these goals in all its operations.
ACTIONS TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
M/Y Fortune wants to promote sustainable tourism through its own operations, and therefore we make conscious choices and actions every day that promote our operations towards more sustainable tourism. We want to act transparently and openly communicate about our operations. We know that we are not perfect, but we are constantly striving to act more responsibly. Below are a few examples of our actions to promote sustainable tourism.
Taking care of the environment
Not a single drop of wastewater is discharged from the vessel into the sea. All blackwater and greywater is collected in the ship’s own tanks and emptied responsibly at designated harbor facilities. Whenever possible, we choose durable, reusable alternatives over single-use products — such as sauna seat covers, sauna slippers, and dishware.

Locality & cooperation
We collaborate with local businesses and strive to prioritize domestic and regional products and services, especially in our food and beverage offering. In doing so, we aim to support and promote sustainable economic activity in the surrounding area.
Equality
Everyone is welcome with us, with full respect for equality and inclusivity, regardless of nationality or culture, religion, sexual orientation, physical ability, or sensory limitations.
promise
to nature
We strive to consider sustainability in everything we do — and we invite you to join us on this journey. We promise to travel through our beautiful nature with respect, and we hope our guests will do the same. Explore the “Sustainable Finland Pledge” and, if you wish, download the pledge to your device as a reminder to make conscious choices while traveling in Finland.
